parchment paper in air fryer basket

Best Air Fryer Liners for a Clean, Easy to Use Appliance

There are two main categories to choose from when we’re looking for the best air fryer liners: air fryer parchment paper sheets and silicone liners.

Those made of silicone can also be called air fryer silicone pots.

However, before reviewing some of the best choices belonging to these two main categories, I also wanted to mention a third alternative.

You can simply buy a big roll of parchment paper and cut it and perforate it yourself to match the size and shape of your basket. Or just don’t perforate it, that works just as well. That’s a cheap option because a big roll can last quite a long time.

On the other hand, silicone liners for air fryers are also good because they’re not disposable, they’re reusable. We pay for a silicone air fryer pot once and we get to use it for years to come as long as we wash it after each cooking session.

When you think of air fryer silicone liners, think of them as the silicone baking mats we use on baking sheets. They’re long lasting and they substitute parchment paper perfectly because they’re non-stick and heat resistant.

Well, the idea is that parchment paper and silicone liners remain the two main products we can use in an air fryer. Obviously, don’t use wax paper because it’s not heat-resistant.

Of course, we could also be using glass containers that are oven-safe but there aren’t that many people who want to place a glass container in their air fryer’s basket.

Plus, check out my article talking about what to put under an air fryer if you want to protect your countertops.

6 Best Air Fryer Liners Reviews

The two main things about air fryer liners, whether they’re paper or silicone, is that they’re non-stick and heat-resistant. That’s why we can use them for cooking in air fryers or ovens.

However, the major advantage for using them is that they keep baskets clean.

Air fryer baskets are non-stick, as well. But if you want to extend their life-span, it’s a wonderful idea to use air fryer liners to protect the non-stick coating.

Moreover, if we use liners between our food and the basket, that means that we don’t have much cleaning to do afterwards.

If we’re using parchment paper liners, then the cleaning we need to do is basically none. Just throw away the paper liner and that’s it.

If we’re using silicone liners or pots, then we need to wash up the silicone pot for next use. These are not disposable but they can save us a bit of money in the long run because we don’t have to buy new ones to use. The ones made of silicone can last a long time.

Of course, when you’re choosing air fryer liners for your appliance, you need to determine which size you need based on the size of your basket. That’s basically the only thing you need to pay close attention to.

My preference is for parchment paper air fryer liners because we still have to clean the silicone ones. And some can be quite difficult to use, which defeats the whole purpose.

Thus, I’m with paper on this one, even if they’re disposable. The price is not expensive so they’re not a big expense in the long term.

By the way, don’t put the liners in while the air fryer is preheating empty. Only add them when you’re ready to layer the ingredients on them.

1. Vailnd Air Fryer Paper Liners, 100pcs

These paper liners are pretty, quite popular, and overall they received quite a considerable amount of positive reviews.

There are also quite a few negative ones so make sure to check out a bit of both.

Features

These are made for quite big appliances, for 5-8 quart air fryers.

They have an 8 inch diameter.

And we get 100 pieces for quite a decent price. Each piece is also thicker than a sheet of parchment paper but both products do the same thing.

The Vailnd Air Fryer Paper Liners are non-stick, non-toxic, BPA-free.

They’re made from a highly resistant material that withstands up to 428 degrees F.

They’re made from unbleached raw wood, which is awesome.

By the way, it just came to me that people who are using a basket that is not ceramic-coated or that is not PTFE-free, might also want to use the best air fryer liners to create a boundary between the non-stick coating and the food we’re cooking.

Just as parchment paper, the Vailnd Air Fryer Paper Liners also have a food-grade silicone coating to make them heat-resistant, non-stick, water-oil proof.

Moreover, the manufacturer mentions that their paper liners don’t interfere with hot air circulation due to their round bowl shape.

Well, that’s good because there are people who absolutely don’t like perforated air fryer liners because those can be a bit messier if some things escape through the holes.

With the Vailnd Air Fryer Paper Liners you can be sure that cleaning will be a breeze because there’s basically nothing to clean.

2. Netany Air Fryer Disposable Paper Liner, 120 pcs

I love these ones because they have two different sizes to choose from:

  • 6.3 inches
  • 8.9 inches

I would say that the 6.3 inches will fit 2 quart air fryers.

The 8.9 inch pieces are suitable for bigger appliances. Just make sure to measure your basket before deciding on the size you need.

The Netany Air Fryer Disposable Paper Liner can withstand temperatures up to 428 degrees F.

We can also use them in the frying pan, microwave oven, oven, and instapot.

Of course, they’re non-stick, water-oil proof, and they make cleaning a thing of the past.

Remove your food, throw away the paper liner and you’re done.

3. Outxe Square Silicone Air Fryer Liners, 8 Inch

For a good price, we get to buy 2 square silicone air fryer liners. Overall, I think it’s a good deal, even if the price might be a bit slightly more expensive than what other silicone liners cost. But let’s see what we get.

Features

These are 8 inch square silicone pots that fit a whole range of air fryers.

These can be used for 4 to 6 quarts appliances, which is an air fryer size range where a lot of models fall into.

Just make sure that your basket can accommodate the 8 inch square size.

The walls are 2.2 inches high.

The thickness of the walls measures 0.6 inches.

Of course, using the Outxe Square Silicone Air Fryer Liners keeps our basket free from food residue, grease, and grim. And it protects the baskets because we don’t have to clean them any more.

However, we still have to clean the silicone basket, which we don’t have to do if we use paper liners.

The Outxe Square Silicone Air Fryer Liners are made of safe food-grade silicone.

They’re non-stick, non-toxic, and BPA-free.

And they’re heat resistant up to 446 degrees F.

We can also use them in the oven, steamer, instant pot, and in the microwave oven. They’re quite versatile.

Moreover, the manufacturer mentions that the grooves on the bottom and some in the corners on the walls improve air circulation and heat distribution.

All in all, the Outxe Square Silicone Air Fryer Liners are among my favorites when it comes to choosing silicone ones.

4. Wavelu Air Fryer Silicone Pot

The Wavelu Air Fryer Silicone Pot is not exactly the cheapest air fryer liner we could buy.

For the price, we only get one single silicone pot. There are other manufacturers that sell 2 for the same price.

Even so, the Wavelu Air Fryer Silicone Pot is an amazing product that is worthy of the price.

Features

Let me tell you one of the major things that I really like about the Wavelu Air Fryer Silicone Pot.

I love their sizes.

Plus, this is a round silicone liner so we’re going to measure the diameter.

We know that baskets are square. But if you get the right size, a round liner will fit in very well.

First, we can pick the model that fits 3 to 5 quart air fryers. I love that it offers an option for smaller appliances.

The diameter for this smaller silicone liner measures 7.68 inches.

Next, we have a model to fit 5.3 quart or bigger so this one is made for those with bigger appliances.

The diameter for this one measures 8.86 inches.

They’re made from the highest quality medical grade silicone.

It is non-stick, non-toxic, and BPA-free.

And it can withstand up to 450 degrees F.

As you’ll see with many other silicone liners, the design features dozens of soft silicone lines that are meant to help distribute heat and circulate air evenly. That’s certainly a crucial aspect for crispy food.

They’re also dishwasher safe or you can quickly wash the silicone pot by hand as soon as the food is cooked.

5. Alphatool Air Fryer Silicone Pot with Handle

We’ve talked about bigger silicone pots for our air fryers.

However, the Alphatool Air Fryer Silicone Pot with Handle targets a different category. These are designed for smaller appliances and that’s why I decided to review them.

Features

These liners are made for 2 to 2.6 quart models. Thus, if you own one of those tiny air fryers and you’re looking for some of the best air fryer liners that are not made of paper, the Alphatool Air Fryer Silicone Pot with Handle might be a nice option.

There are actually two sizes to choose from:

6.3 inches in diameter

7.9 inches in diameter

Make sure to closely measure the basket for your appliance and then decide if either of these two sizes would work for you.

We can also pick from sets of 2 or 3 silicone pots for both sizes.

The price is quite cheap for either option.

They are made of high-quality food-grade silicone.

It can withstand temperatures up to 446 degrees F.

The silicone wire designed at the bottom of the pot can guide air circulation and distribute heat evenly.

6. Reynolds Kitchens Unbleached Parchment Paper Roll

As I’ve already mentioned, if you’re not ready to invest in any of the best air fryer liners that I’ve recommended above, then you can simply buy a big roll of parchment paper.

I love buying unbleached parchment paper, the one that is brown in color, because it’s compostable and biodegradable. Why not help the environment by making such an easy choice.

I don’t know much about prices but I always prefer buying Reynolds. They’re great and I think that the price is quite good, too.

Also, I prefer buying rolls because I think they’re slightly less wasteful. We can cut whatever dimensions we want from the roll. A sheet is quite big but, if we’re using it for an air fryer basket, then you’ll be cutting away quite a lot and that’s quite a waste.

The Reynolds Kitchens Unbleached Parchment Paper Roll measures 45 square feet. It’s a decent size, although you could also buy 200 square feet rolls or even bigger.

It is oven safe up to 425 degrees F, which is good because most air fryers have a 400 degrees F temperature.

Well, even a 450 degrees F temperature wouldn’t hurt it, it won’t get burned even at 450 F.

Of course, it’s non-stick. It’s one of the main reasons for using it so that our food doesn’t stick to anything,

How do you use it?

That’s extremely easy.

Cut a sheet of parchment paper. Then cut it again to match the shape and size of your basket.

If you’re making French fries or foods that go up in the basket, you can cut it to cover the walls, too. That will keep your cleaning time down to a minimum, especially considering how little oil we use when we cook in an air fryer.

There’s an additional step that you could perform but it’s not mandatory.

Once you have the paper sheet cut into the right size and shape, it’s time to perforate it.

As you know, air fryer baskets have holes. I prefer using a liner with holes in as well to allow the circulating hot air to truly envelope and cook the food from all sides and angles.

However, if you don’t want to perforate it, just skip this step. As you saw, there are plenty of air fryer liners that have no holes and they work very well.

If you want to poke some holes in, fold the sheet of paper until it fits in the palm of your hand, and poke some holes in with a hole puncher.

This short video here shows us exactly how it’s done very easily.

All in all, whether you end up choosing to buy a roll of unbleached parchment paper or you decide to go with some of the best air fryer liners that I reviewed above, you’ll make a good choice that will help you keep a pristine air fryer basket that will last a long time and won’t make you spend time on cleaning.
